Opportunity | Taking a Chance

Opportunity | Taking a Chance

There is an old saying, “Opportunity doesn’t strike twice.”

Sometimes in life we come across opportunities that won’t be around forever. We have to make quick decisions or we will miss out. It can be frightening to make these big decisions on the spur of the moment. Who really knows what the right choice is?

I think it is important to not let fear hold you back. Life is scary. Whether you are sitting in your apartment or river rafting on the far side of the globe, nothing is certain. I know as well as anyone that it isn’t easy to climb out of your comfort zone, but it is almost always a worthwhile endeavor. take a chanceOpportunity

Taking the Opportunity

I recently came across one of these opportunities and I decided to jump on it. I want to be clear that I am not bragging or trying to show off. I am extremely lucky to be afforded the opportunities I receive, and I would not want anyone to think I take them for granted. That being said, as this will definitely affect my blog, social media presence, and my life in general really, I wanted to share this amazing news with all of you!

I have been accepted to a study abroad program in Germany that will take place in the beginning of the summer. I will be spending time in Munich and Berlin and I could not be more excited. This isn’t a figure of speech, I have been crying tears of joy since I found out.  I have dreamed of traveling since I was a little girl and this is a year where that dream comes true.

I found out that this trip was a possibility on Monday. It was finalized on Tuesday. I am not one to go out on a limb, so this is a big step for me. I took a leap of faith and so far I am exceedingly happy with that choice.

I am so excited to have this phenomenal experience and to share parts of it with you! I encourage you to take a chance on something that you have been thinking about. Apply for the job, take a class to learn new skills, travel somewhere you’ve always dreamed of. May it bring you all the happiness and contentment you desire. Thank you for reading. Have a great day!

I agree wholeheartedly with saying yes to opportunities and just having a go at things. It’s better to fail or not enjoy something than wonder “what could’ve happened”
Congratulations to you! This sounds amazing I hope it all goes fantastically! 😀

Oh man you’re going to have an amazing time! I felt the same way when I studied abroad in Sydney a few years ago! It was for the Spring semester and I absolutely grew and learned so much from it. There were sticky moments but I wouldn’t change a thing. Have fun!
