This weekend my roommates and I took a little hike through the Chianti region and did a little wine tasting at the Sassolini vineyards. I’ll admit, the hike was a  bit more than we had bargained for and we had to take a little off-road detour. That being said, it was a lovely day overall. We enjoyed five different beverages as well as several courses of delicious, homemade Italian food. Sitting in an authentic Italian home eating pesto, pomodoro, and prosciutto is an experience I would recommend to anyone. The opportunity to have an authentic Chianti wine in Chianti is not one that is easily missed.

As some of you may know, I have had an amazing opportunity this semester to study abroad. I have been dreaming this this since I was just a kid so it really is a dream come true! I am so happy to be able to take this time to learn about other cultures, and also about myself. This does mean that blogging will be a little difficult from the technical side of things. There are lots of travels planned which means I will not have consistent access to wifi. Even in my apartment the wifi has not been strong enough to upload the vlogs I have recorded. I am trying to work around these issue but please bear with me as I find my way in a foreign city, with very little commitment to internet connectivity.

I hope you enjoy this little snippet of Italy! I vlogged this adventure so cross your fingers that the wifi gods smile on me and I can finally upload it soon! Ciao!

Thank you Dora! Drinking a Chianti in Chianti was quite the experience! I am hoping I can get more out soon! Europe does not seem to be in the 21st century in terms of wifi so it’s been a bit of a challenge!
